Laser subtitling

For me, laser subtitling is not what I can see everyday. I found it quite interesting. The film that you normally see in the cinema usually being sent to this subtitle company for etching process, meaning using laser to etch the subtitle on the film before being screen in cinema.

It may seems like an editing suite. But this machine is for keying in the timecode where you want the subtitle to appear. Luckily Ah Sai film is just 10 minutes. Getting all those in-point and out-point for every line of subtitles for normal feature film is insane!

This is where the etching process begin, I guess the green light is the laser beam. And the projection on the wall is what you get from etching machine. After this process the film will be clean and dry up in another machine.

Bangkok Again!

Went to Bangkok again to settle some stuff with Ah Sai preparing for Venice Film Festival. Congratulations! Although I didn't contribute much in the film besides doing opening sequence with Ivan when he was in Amok Films, Im still getting excited about it.

If you are alone in the hotel, seriously... you do not know what to do besides watching TV whole night. That night was nightmare, I heard someone renovating and climbing stairs fixing rooftop whole night. The sounds seems like a loop. Non-stop! Couldn't be supernatural thing... if it was, I just want to scream at it and ask him to shut the hell up. I couldn't slept whole night.

My hotel was quite near to Patpong at Silom Street. This is the place where all the friendly lady will try their best to approach you. Sometimes you don't even know they are the real lady...

Nothing to do again. Was randomly seaching through my files and found some effects I did quite sometimes ago. Im still wondering how did I manage to create those kind of effects using the PC Im using now..

Boring morning

Woke up early in the morning, feel boring... Looking for something in the fridge for few times, even though theres barely nothing left in it for me to cook breakfast. In the fridge, I found an egg, leftover yok choy (herb), ice-cube, a drumstick, and bunch of long beans for my turtle. An egg wasn't enough for me to have breakfast, long beans are reserved by my turtle. So now I just got a drumstick and yok choy. Time for me to improvise my soup cooking skill. I know.. its weird to have yok choy soup early in the morning...

My mom always scold me for not learning what she capable of.. COOKING... She said I got talent.. I said:"................?!?!"

Re-cycle effects

After watching Re-cycle, a HK horror film with Camy. I tried to achieve one of the effects which appeared at the end of the show where all the ghosts are being freeze and were slice into few layers. I don't understand why they want to use this effects? But still, its a nice piece of commercial film by Pang Bros. A combination of Resident Evil, Alice In Wonderland, and Matrix. I just realize that there is no spoon at all........ You are in the Matrix...........

What will you do..?

Midnight, a friend called me. Confuse, she was. It all started when she checked her boyfriend emails and found out something suspicious. Her boyfriend's ex, still, kept in touch with him. Had written something that shouldn't be written, or should I say, something enough to make his current girlfriend jealous. I don't understand why this guy gave his password to my friend. What is he trying to prove? For TRUST that he put into her? Or just a method to make himself in control for not doing anything stupid knowing his girlfriend going to check his email. This case is like husband gave wife a key access to a bungalow. Wife found out there is a bra which do not belong to her in her husband wardrobe.

She asked me. "What should I do..?"

I can only think of 2 choices here:

1. Keep silence. Cause shouldn't have checked his email in the first place. Where is your trust for him.?

2. Confront her boyfriend, why he still keeping in touch with his ex and have such emails and risk loosing him. Cause no more trust.

TRUST, what is trust for? How long can it stay in a relationship? Or should we just spell it "to-rust" for the world we living right now.

Cameron Highland

Back to May 14th, Mother's Day, a one day trip to Cameron Highland with Joyce and Joyce's mom. My mom couldn't make it with us cause she need to be with my aunt's mother-in-law who is dying with cancer, my mom's job was to release her pain in a very buddhist way and start praying for her. May she rest in peace.

When on our way driving through the curvy narrow path along the side of the mountain, we've been stucked behind a silly bus which constantly smoked all the way up to Cameron. We lost our purpose being here to breath in fresh air... We could have overtake it, but it might be too risky.. So...

We stopped... and have a rest beside the road which have plenty of shops selling their local goods. And I saw one of Lim Kong Wing's merchandise. A monkey head made of coconut shell. Wooohoo.....

Tea plantations field. Too bad we don't have enough time to sip a cup of hot tea over there. At that moment, I was hoping to see Bollywood star rolling down the hill and dance like nobody buisness. It would be fun!

Path to secret garden, we found this. The Black Rose.
It appears to originate from a fairytale world which inspires mystical expectations. The so-called black rose is in fact, very dark red.

But somehow, I kept on thinking about the other Black Rose - 黑玫瑰 ... Codename for the Iron Lady with her tight shiny leather suit who steal from the rich in one of the Hong Kong comedy show. Its not mystical.. its rather stupid...

My Apartment

My apartment, the only thing that I like about it is the everyday sunset that shine in between those 2 blocks. Everyone seems to get back home from work, where I just start to pack up my stuff and drag my feet going to office. I screw up my biological clock again. This sunset equals sunrise to me for another day.....

Who is Ah Bee.???

2 weeks ago, Im rushing for Maybank's TVC storyboard overnight in office. And Im aware of having a good rest is necessary for the next day reccie in Melaka for the Bossman's short film. But hell.. stupid traffic cause me accident when I was on my way to office at Kesas Highway! The car in front of me was a brand new gold color Honda City (I think its BGX 5500 or so), I hate when people give me their attitude when this Malay guy started to show me one of his. " U tahu ini Honda..??" I was like, " I dun care wat car u driving la! If u wanna test ur new car breaking system, try elsewhere! Y suddenly brake, somemore in fast lane???" The third car manage to swift to another lane, my bumper goes lucky. But not for the 4th and 5th car, oh yeah.! They were both Storm if not mistaken. And its a tough car indeed. Can't really see the damage from far. The 6th car... I pity him most, someone claim that the driver was a Negro. The best part was.. The Negro rented this Kelisa! The front part of the car.. gone.. Just like being chopped off. The Negro had learn his lesson, never use our national car to mess around with Storm.

No longer than 5 minutes, I was like.. where the hell did those tow car people came out from..? They were few companies that offer to tow our cars, claiming a few of them are actually under one company, and will bring us to settle "everything". Lucky I got Kurnia's number and tried ask for help. One of those people tried to stop me.. and challenge me by telling me to ask Kurnia's agent and look for a person names, Ah Bee, a supervisor from a panel workshop for Kurnia... I was like.. ok... why out of sudden all sounds so Ah Beng...? I ask him whether his supervisor or whoever he is have a full name.. and he sounds suspecious.. he shout at me "His name is just Ah Bee!" Omg.. Which mother on earth will only name her son as Ah Bee.?? Don't he have a father or something.?? I just wanted to know his full name! We've been arguing for this Ah Bee issue for like ages... Finally Kurnia's agent just took a couple of minutes to investigate, and he prove that theres no one called Ah Bee ask them to come. And they kept silent....

No more than 10 minutes, Kurnia's agent sent a proper tow truck and sent me to police station to make report and on our way, I told the tow truck driver what happened back then. He said last time he had been to jailed because of those conman who fake their company's name and tow one of the Datuk's Merz away.. And of course, the Datuk went to the real company and find out his car wasn't there. And this is where the poor tow truck driver took the blame. He din tell me what happened at the end. But hes quite a nice guy to chat with, espeacially a Chinese speaking Malay guy.

Well, 300 bucks of saman and lost of NCD for a lesson...

Wonderful Mind

Mind is a principle intelligent that we use in our daily routine. Minds for reasoning, to think, and to apply knowledge. I just don't get it why some people out there just can't make up their godamn freakin' mind. When comes to desicion making, their mind somehow get infested by some mind controlling bug that devour every single brain cell beneath their skull. At the end of the day, their mind gone empty. All you could see is just a sparkling eyes because they have nothing in the skull where light shines from behind if you punch a hole right at the back of their head. Oh.. it become the very primitive pin hole camera!

Awake at 6:40 am, and Im damn freakin' awake after taken 2 hours nap, just 2 hours nap and Im damn freakin' semangat! The detoxification plan really works on me, more energy sign of recuperation can be noticed. The bio-organic drinks which consist of:

golden grain husk, crimson lentils, white wheat, red lentils, black beluga lentils, gold lentils, red grains, red wheat, green lentils, coicis seeds, spinach, mushroom, peanuts, carrots, black sesame, pumpkin seeds, celery, lotus seeds, oats, pine seeds, lotus root powder, flax seeds, soya beans, wild rice, yam , gingko, wheat germ, alfafa, fennel seeds, asparagus, articoke, spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, and japanese green tea. (More than 30 types of organic seeds, vegetables and green foods..!!)

Since I cannot sleep, I random google search. At least I have something to read and learn about to pass my time. This is what I get when I input my own name.

Im not a fan of Bruce Lee. But I always keep his words in my mind for dunno what reason. I still remember one of his quote:

Thats why Bruce Lee always shout:" Watttaa!!" when he cofront his enemy.. which means "water". He will let himself flow like water so he can turn the situation around whenever he face havoc or the worst enemy he ever encounter.... So.. be water... my friend...

琵琶行

Went to Japanese Restaurant Sugimoto near Sri Hartamas this weekend. A pretty nice environment with small little curtain as partition. The food was not too bad. Sashimi was fantastic! As far as I know, this restaurant was named under a chef's name, Sugimoto. Lots of Japanese were having their dinner there. Feels like Im in Japan. Just that no beautiful sakura flowers in full bloom and sake around. Oh yeah.. a pretty kawaii Japanese lady was sitting just opposite us. ( with a bunch of guys T_T) Me and Joyce can just peeped through the space between the curtain. But I managed to took partial of her picture when I took this picture for Camy.
