Sometimes she just slumber the afternoon away. She have split personality too. She's a Buddhist, she's a leader among my family, she always wrestles with me, she always win.

The Banquet

Watched The Banquet yesterday. At first I thought this is another Wuxia film, I was expecting alot of fighting scene in this film since Yuen Wo Ping was the choreographer for this film. After watching it, nothing surprise me anymore, may be Yuen already out of his wire trick. The whole film was so draggy. When the Emperor start to talk, I feel like going to pee, after that, I decided to buy a box a popcorn. I waited in line, after I got my popcorn, I feel thirsty, I got back in queue again to buy Coke. Then I met up with another gang of friend who came to watch other movie, we have a chit chat, then my friend remind me:" Aren't you suppose to watch the film." Oh yeah I almost forgot! So, I decided to get back to my seat and ask my friend, "What did I missed?" My friend told me, "The Emperor still havent finish his first line."

The selfish Empress, Zang Zi Yi. Im just curious, China has the largest population on planet earth. Why the heck she always appear in every epic genre film?? Boring as usual...

The Emperor, the one who killed his own brother and took over his crown and the Queen (Zang Zi Yi).

The pussy drama Prince, the one who just know how to sing, stage play and barely know how to kick ass.

Qing Nu, the one who really felt for the prince. I just wonder why can't she be the evil selfish empress instead of Zang Zi Yi. She was quite a bitch in Perhaps Love. And she got a fake smile. Beware....

The last half an hour really suffocate me. When everyone start to die one by one in the Banquet. All because of this bitch, the selfish Empress. At the end, the Empress was stabbed by a sword which wield by the Prince. But the film didn't show who stabbed her. So, everyone been asking what the heck is going on here?? Who kill her.?! As the credit roll out, I decided to wait until the credits end and was expecting some trick that Xmen III used. But no results. The film claim that DESIRE who kill everyone in this film. For me, I think is the Director who killed the Empress, cause she's such a bitch. Erm.. second thought, the Director actually killed everyone in this film! There's a conspiracy theory, he got his hidden message, he want to reduce China's population! He foresees the future of China.. Oh Im such a genius.!

Anyway, to be honest. This film is much much much much much much more better than The Promise. I like the setting and the stage which appear in the Bamboo forest.
